Baa baa black sheep

Coming from the noisy and rainy China: this is something completely different! Finnish country side at it’s best, nature at its full blossom, the incredible midsummer light (pictures tell so much more than words I’m not even trying to decribe it).

Traditional red houses, blue bells and the incredible midsummer light

This summer paradise is at Elisaari, a beautiful island near Tammisaari, in Southern Finland. There you can experience the nostalgic country feeling with green fields and red houses and bluebells, but also the fresh, salty seaside with sailing boats and fishing houses. No need to tell that one week in this peaceful place was just relaxing. And Benjamin even got to see tractors, cows and sheep. “BAAAAAA!”, said my son. 🙂

Baa baa black sheep…

The summer in Finland is so short that the weather is always the issue: everybody is axiously waiting for the sunny and warm days to come. Around midsummer I could hear the people complaining: too cold, too rainy, too windy – this is not summer…  But hey, seriously, rainy or sunny, isn’t this absolutely beautiful!
